I’m in Lavvu.
I carry with me my Lavvu of sunbeams wherever I am: The Sami are the children of the sun, the sunbeams symbolize the four corners of the world. For several generations behind me are those women of my family who have lived in a lavvu. It is not possible for me as an urban Same.
Symbolically, the Lavvu is still there as the “safe home” and my ancestors live within me as long as I remember them. I can always carry my light-lavvu with me as a quiet retreat.

I’m very proud to be a part of the exhibition I’m in Lavvu in Karsjok, in Norway.
I have made a new installation for the exhibition. The film is ‘4,56 min.
One copy has been sold to Riddu Duottar Museat.
